We can’t wait to welcome the ENTIRE Wolfpack back on campus this Wednesday! We have an exciting first day planned, filled with classroom collaboration, a high-energy rally, and an extended lunch to connect with friends.

These activities are designed to celebrate our core values of SPIRIT and introduce our 2025–2026 school theme: “Be the One…”

Wear your RED, bring a water bottle (it will be HOT), bring your Wolfpack pride, and get ready to create memories that will kick off an incredible school year!

Drop-Off Procedures Drop-Off Procedures

Our gates open at 7:25 AM for 0 Period students. If your student is not enrolled in a 0 Period class, please wait until 8:00 AM or later to drop them off. First Period begins at 8:30 daily!

When using the drop-off loop, please:

  • Remain in your vehicle.

  • Pull forward as far as possible to keep traffic moving.

  • Avoid stopping in the middle of the loop if there is space ahead of you.

We understand students may have a preferred gate, but stopping early creates delays. The more efficiently we move cars through the front lot, the faster all students can get to class. Please be respectful to staff on duty and to other families by following these procedures.

Finally, we ask all drivers to model safe, respectful behavior by using crosswalks, obeying posted speed limits, and following road signs. Our top priority is ensuring every member of the Wolfpack arrives safely and is ready for a fantastic 2025–2026 school year!

Dismissal Procedures Dismissal Procedures

Dismissal on regulars days is at 3:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday dismissal for Student Early Release (SER) is at 2:15 PM for all students.

**Please note the first day of school is a modified day with dismissal at 1:15**

Please be courteous to others and do not leave your vehicle while you are in the loop.

Temecula Valley Unified School District believes that appropriate dress and grooming contribute to a productive learning environment. Student attire and grooming must permit the student to participate in learning without posing a risk to the health or safety of any student or school district personnel. The school district is responsible for seeing that student attire does not disrupt school activity or contribute to a hostile or intimidating atmosphere for any student.

  2. Clothing shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments and buttocks. No underwear, undergarments, or clothing that is comparable to undergarments (e.g, bathing suits that resemble the same coverage of an undergarment) may be visible at any time. Clothing may not be see-through or mesh if underwear is visible underneath.

  3. Attire may not display images or slogans that are violent and/or depict drugs (Cookies), drug paraphernalia, alcohol, or promote any unlawful act. Additionally, attire may not contain imagery, words or acronyms associated with hate speech, profanity, pornography, “indecency” (Playboy) or any promotion and/or endorsement of violence, alcohol or drug use are strictly prohibited on campus.

Welcome Back from Our Athletic Director!

Dear Great Oak Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! We are incredibly excited to begin a new year filled with opportunity, growth, and school spirit. There is a lot to look forward to, and we want to thank you for your continued support of our athletic programs.

You’ll notice several exciting upgrades around campus that have taken place over the past six months. Our gym lobby has been renovated, we have a brand new track and turf in the stadium, and our stadium lights have been upgraded to enhance safety and performance. These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible experience for our student-athletes and school community.

A huge thank you goes out to our coaches and athletes who have shown remarkable flexibility and resilience throughout this process. We are also incredibly grateful to the City of Temecula for their support, especially for allowing us access to Birdsall Park for summer workouts during construction.

As we kick off the new year, I’d like to ask for your help in making this our best year yet. We truly value the countless hours you give to our programs—through volunteering, fundraising, and cheering from the stands. Simply put, we couldn’t do this without you.

With that in mind, and in partnership with CIF Southern Section, we ask all parents to help us promote a positive and respectful athletic environment by following these three core expectations:

1. Emphasize Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct

  • Model and promote good sportsmanship by treating all athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect—regardless of team affiliation.

  • Refrain from negative behaviors such as booing, heckling, taunting, or the use of profanity or derogatory language.

  • Applaud great plays by both teams and support the officials’ decisions without public disagreement.

2. Respect the Role of the Coach

  • Understand that coaches are responsible for game strategy and team management.

  • Please avoid coaching from the sidelines or contradicting the coach’s directions during practices or games.

  • If you have a concern, we encourage you to contact the coach to set up a meeting at an appropriate time—never during or immediately after games.

3. Support the Development of Your Student-Athlete

  • Focus on your child’s overall growth—character, teamwork, and effort are just as important as the final score.

  • Celebrate both the wins and the lessons that come from challenges or setbacks.

  • Help your child maintain balance by prioritizing academics and a healthy lifestyle alongside their athletic commitments.

Together, let’s continue to foster a culture of excellence, respect, and teamwork that reflects the SPIRIT of Great Oak High School. We are proud of our athletes and grateful for your partnership in making this another successful and meaningful year.

With appreciation,

Anthony Califano
