Dear High Point Families and Community,

As we begin October, we have several opportunities to celebrate the people and cultures that make our High Point community so special!

National Custodian Appreciation Day – Friday, October 2

Please join me in showing some extra love to our incredible custodial team (Derick & Harry)! Their work goes far beyond keeping our building clean. They help create a safe, welcoming, and cared-for environment for our scholars and staff each day. Encourage your scholars to say thank you, create a card, or simply let our custodians know how much we appreciate all they do to help High Point shine!

Hispanic Heritage Month- We also continue our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15–October 15)!

Throughout the month, we recognize and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. As an IB school, this is another meaningful opportunity to build international mindedness, celebrate the diversity within our High Point family, and help our scholars learn more about the world and one another.

Let’s continue finding meaningful ways to celebrate our people, honor our cultures, and make every member of our High Point family feel seen and valued!

October 3: Fall Festival (11:30 AM-2:3 PM)
October 7-14: Gifts from the Heart Auction
October 12: Columbus Day/ NO SCHOOL
October 14: Mom's Night Out
October 19: Fall Conference Days Begin
October 16: Donut Day & Spirit Wear Day!

Show your High Point spirit and start your Friday with a sweet treat! Scholars will have an opportunity to purchase a donut on a first-come, first-served basis.
Important: Scholars must arrive at school on time to purchase a donut. Once the tardy bell rings, donut sales will end. So arrive early, show your school spirit, and don’t miss out!

You are invited to join us for a fun-filled evening at our annual Moms' Night Out. We will gather at the home of the Abbate Family in a High Point Neighborhood for light bites, beverages, and our “Gifts from the Heart” Teacher Experience Auction.
