2026-2027 Update

MONDAY, AUGUST 17, 2026

• 9th GRADE - Orientation will be from 10:30 am-2:00 pm. All students MUST use the 2026 Sign-Up Genius link to schedule their small group time. These small groups will be led by L.I.N.K. Leaders, and take approximately one hour to complete.

• 10th-12th GRADE - Students may come ANYTIME between 3:00 pm-6:00 pm. It will take approximately one hour to complete.

• Bus service will NOT be available on August 17th. Questions regarding transportation should be directed to Dean Transportation.

• ALL students are encouraged to attend 2026-2027 orientation to get a jump start on the upcoming year.

Pictures will be taken by Alternative Photography during orientation. All students are required to have a school ID and must have their picture taken. Alternative Photography will provide students with information at orientation to access and order pictures. Appropriate dress is required for all students. Re-Takes have been scheduled for September 3, 2026 during the school day.

SENIORS: this is the picture that will be put in your class composite picture.

Senior pictures for the yearbook will be due by December 1, 2026.

Student Parking Passes: Students are highly encouraged to purchase a parking pass at orientation. Each pass is assigned a number for office use only (ALL PARKING WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS). The parking pass allows students to park in the student parking lot ONLY! These are REQUIRED for all students that will be driving to school. Students MUST bring copies of the following:

• Proof of Insurance

• Drivers License

• Vehicle Registration

• $25.00 parking fee at orientation.

• The fee will increase after August 17th to $35.00. All student parking passes MUST be purchased no later than September 11, 2026.

• Students not purchasing a parking pass at orientation will have the opportunity to purchase them beginning Monday, August 24, 2026 before or after school in the main office for $35.00.

With the recent passage of M.C.L 380.1303a (Public Act 2 of 2026), LHS will be enacting the following the wireless communication device policy for the 2026-2027 School year:

• Students are prohibited from using wireless communication devices (WCD) on school grounds during instructional time.
• From the time students step on school property to start their day, until the time they leave at the end of the day.
• This includes lunch and passing time.
