8th Grage graduation Details: 8th Grage graduation Details:

8th Grade Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the end of the school year and prepare to celebrate our 8th graders, we want to share some important scheduling details regarding Graduation Day on Monday, June 15th.

1. Following our school BBQ, 8th-grade students will be eligible for an early dismissal at 12:00 PM (noon).

To help us ensure a smooth and safe dismissal process, please review the following options if you plan to have your student dismissed early:

  • Use PickUp Patrol

  • Email Ahead: Send an email to the attendance office at sacsattendance@maplerun.org.

  • Call Ahead: Contact the office directly at 802-527-0565.

  • Send a Note: Have your student bring a signed written note to the main office on or before graduation morning.

Please note: For any students who are not dismissed early, the 8th-grade teachers have a variety of engaging activities planned for the remainder of the school day.

2. Students should return to school by 4:30 pm to get organized and lined up for graduation, which begins at 5:00 pm.

Thank you for your continued support and collaboration as we wrap up an incredible year with your students!

Warm regards,

SACS 7th/8th grade team

Library Book Returns: Library Book Returns:

The school year is nearing an end and many of you are still enjoying books from our library. It is so very important to have those returned so other students can share your same enjoyment for all those wonderful stories! Please help us by locating and returning any books you have checked out this year so the library can continue to support student interests in literature.

Thank You!

Aladdin Play

Lucy McElwain

All three of the Aladdin plays turned out great! The first performance was for the school on the fiftieth and later that night the drama cast put on another play for anyone who wanted to go from the public. Their last play was on the sixteenth at ten. After the show was over every eighth grader got a flower and a speech from Ms. Mahr. Most of the eighth graders who got the flowers have been in drama for multiple productions. Siri Boyea who played Aladdin did an outstanding job and this was Siri’s first play. Molly McCarthy played Jasmine and also did an excellent job and has done many plays at our school before. Asher Blodgett played an amazing genie and also played significant roles in past performances at our school. Those were the three main roles of the play but congratulations to all who got up onstage and performed for the school and public!

End of Year Band and Orchestra Concert

Oskar Boyea

Band and orchestra had their last concert of the school year on 5/21/26! First, the 5th grade orchestra kicked off the concert with some fun and scary tunes. They were filled with excitement to be on the stage and being in the light! Next the 6- 7, and the 8th graders were up for orchestra, they nailed the three songs they played and they took the audience’s breath away playing some awesome songs that were fun like Gauntlet by Doug Spata and All I Want by Olivia Rodrigo. After the advanced orchestra the 5th grade band played, they crushed their part. They had some fun and poppy songs to end their part of the concert. After that, the 6th graders were up, they played some excellent music. Also some 5th graders played with the 6th graders. To close out the concert 7-8 was up and they ended with some bangers. After that we had an advanced jazz band and, Rock band. They all played like professionals, they put the crowd in shock! Then the awards were given out for the 8th graders, kudos to Aliana Barr and Hayden Perreault for getting the awards! Great job to all the people who played an instrument or many more!
