Warrior Connection - November 16

As we move into the final five weeks of the semester, I encourage all families to take a moment to check in on your student’s grades. If your child has an F in any class, their teachers will be reaching out to you. Please take the time to answer those calls so we can work together to support your student. Success truly comes from students, parents, and teachers partnering with one another.

We are also seeing an increase in absences. Please remember that students who accumulate more than seven unexcused absences will not earn credit for their classes, even if they are passing academically. Consistent attendance is essential, and we appreciate your support in making sure students are at school every day.

After-school tutoring is available Monday through Wednesday and is a great resource for students needing extra help or time to get caught up.

Finally, our Texas Roadhouse fundraiser pickup will take place this Wednesday and Thursday. We will share more information early this week regarding the traffic pattern for pickup to help the process run smoothly.

Students who attend school regularly are more likely to earn higher grades, build stronger friendships, and feel connected to their school community. Attendance helps develop self-discipline and consistency — two skills that last far beyond middle school. When students are Ready and Responsible, they are better prepared for each new challenge. Families can help by checking PowerSchool together and celebrating good attendance milestones. Let’s continue to show up, support each other, and make West Minico a place where every Warrior succeeds.
