Each day, we’ll have specialty lunches, free activities, and lots of ways to win prizes.

Plus, Dole Whip will be available before school, after school, and during lunch.

Our first WAW Assembly will be Friday, December 5 on an AM assembly schedule. We’ll introduce all things WAW, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace will be sharing the impact of our fundraiser and how your donations help provide beds for children in need.

Later this week, we will release our Student & Staff Art Auction—a chance to bid on unique pieces while supporting WAW.

You’ll also find our Giving Tree by the main office if you’d like to donate bedding items for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. These donations directly support the bed builds happening for local students.

Throughout the week, get ready for Penny Wars, where you can help your grade level win early lunch by filling your grade’s bucket with money—or sabotaging other grades with pennies!

Your class can also win free pizza or donuts during our surprise Cash Calls, and our clubs and officers will be outside collecting donations from cars every Tuesday and Thursday morning.

Penny Wars is a school-wide competition where each grade tries to earn the most points by putting money into their grade’s jug—while also lowering other grades’ points by sabotaging them with pennies!

It’s fast, chaotic, strategic… and surprisingly intense.

How Points Work

Positive Points (Help Your Grade!)

Put these in your grade’s jug:

• Nickel = +5

• Dime = +10

• Quarter = +25

• $1 Bill = +100

• $5 Bill = +500

• $10 Bill = +1000

• $20 Bill = +2000

These all increase your grade’s total.

Negative Points (Sabotage Other Grades!)

Put pennies into other grades’ jugs:

• Penny = –1

Every penny you drop lowers their score.

The Strategy

Each grade tries to:

✔ Boost their own jug with bills and silver coins

and

✔ Sabotage other grades by dropping pennies into their jugs

This means a jug full of bills could suddenly drop if another grade “penny bombs” it.

Rules

• Each grade has its own jug.

• Bills and silver coins = add points.

• Pennies = subtract points (but only when put in other grades’ jugs).

• Competition runs Dec 5 – Dec 19.

Prize

Winning grade gets to go to lunch early during the first week of January!

CAR CASH GRAB is a quick, drive-thru style fundraiser for Warriors Are Wonderful!
On Tuesdays and Thursdays starting December 9, students wearing reindeer ears will be out in front of the school during morning drop-off collecting cash and loose change from cars.

Just pull up, roll down your window, and drop in any donation you’d like.
Every dollar goes toward supporting:

• Sleep in Heavenly Peace (providing beds for kids in our community)

• Warrior Haven (helping students in need at WPJH)

How it works:

• Look for students in reindeer ears — they’ll come directly to your car.

• Donate any amount — coins, cash, whatever you’ve got handy.

• All contributions count toward our school’s big goal of $16,767 for Warriors Are Wonderful!

Simple. Fast. Impactful.

Your spare change helps change lives — one car drop-off at a time

What is CASH CALL?

Cash Call is a fast-paced, surprise fundraising challenge happening on 5 random days between December 5–19 during Warriors Are Wonderful!

On Cash Call days, teachers will get an announcement telling their class it’s time to bring donations immediately to the office.
The class that brings money the fastest and raises the most wins a special treat!

What Can Your Class Win?

Thanks to our amazing sponsors — Marco’s Pizza and Banbury Cross Donuts — winning classes will receive:

• Fresh donuts delivered to your classroom, OR

• Hot Marco’s pizza brought right to you!

How It Works

1. A random Cash Call alert is made (no warning!)

2. Classes race to gather donations and bring them to the office

3. The first class to deliver AND raise the most money wins the treat of the day

4. There will be 5 total Cash Calls — so there are multiple chances to win!

Why Participate?

Every dollar helps us reach our Warriors Are Wonderful goal of $16,767 to support:

• Sleep in Heavenly Peace (beds for kids)

• Warrior Haven (helping WPJH students in need)

West Point Jr High is hosting an Art Auction — and we need YOUR creativity!

One of our longest-standing Warrior traditions is pieing students and teachers in the face—all for an amazing cause! But first, we have to earn the right to pie them by reaching our Warriors Are Wonderful fundraising goals.

Here’s how it works:

• If we reach $7,567 — students can pie SBOs, Cheerleaders, and Basketball Players.
• If we reach $12,567 — we unlock the chance to pie teachers too!

Then on December 17th at lunch, you can pay $5 per pie to send a whipped-cream masterpiece flying at the brave volunteers. Let’s hit our goals and let those pies FLY!

What is the Closing WAW Assembly?

Our Closing Warriors Are Wonderful Assembly is happening on December 19, and it’s the big celebration that wraps up all of our fundraising, competitions, and WAW events!

This is the moment when we announce the winners, celebrate everything we accomplished, and find out if we hit our school-wide goal of $16,767!

What Happens During the Assembly?

• We will all go to the gym for a single, whole-school assembly.

• Raffle drawings, Penny Wars totals, and prize announcements will continue all the way until the very end of the assembly, so make sure you stay tuned in!

• We’ll reveal final fundraising totals, recognize top classes and students, and share all the celebrations from the week.

Two Possible Schedules for December 19

1. If we DO NOT reach our goal of $16,767

We follow the Regular Single-Assembly Day, which includes:

• Assembly in the morning

• Normal class schedule the rest of the day

• Regular lunches

• No carnival

2. If we DO reach our goal of $16,767

We earn the Winter Carnival Day, which includes:

• Assembly in the morning

• A 2-hour Winter Carnival with games and activities

• Special lunch

• The rest of the day is cancelled for carnival fun!

This is the BIG reward students are working toward!
