Counselor's Corner
Welcome Back! Let’s Make It a Great Year!
Meet Our Counseling Team
We are excited to introduce your school counseling team!
Mrs. Bailey – 7th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Bailey will be supporting our 7th-grade students throughout the school year.
Dr. Leggett – 8th Grade Counselor
Dr. Leggett will be supporting our 8th-grade students and helping them navigate academic, social, and personal growth.
6th Grade
Mrs. Bailey and Dr. Leggett will share responsibilities for our 6th-grade students, working together to make sure our newest students feel welcomed, supported, and ready for a successful middle school experience.
As we begin the year, let’s focus on Habit 1: Be Proactive.
Being proactive means taking responsibility for your choices, attitudes, and actions. Instead of waiting for someone else to solve a problem, proactive people ask themselves, “What can I do to make this better?”
How does this apply to counseling? If you see something that doesn't seem right, say something. This includes concerns about bullying, threats, unsafe behavior, or someone who may need help.
And remember, “See Something, Say Something” applies online, too. If you see concerning messages, posts, pictures, or behavior on social media, group chats, gaming platforms, or other online spaces, don't ignore it. Save the information when appropriate and tell a trusted adult.
