A Halloween Bingo Night We Won't Soon Forget! πβοΈ
Tiger Families -
Well, Tynes families, we certainly didn't have THAT on our Bingo cards!
Despite watching the weather closely all day, Mother Nature decided to join our Halloween Bingo Night festivities with a little trick of her own! What started as a BOO-tiful evening quickly turned into a thunderous surprise, complete with lightning, torrential rain, and some unexpected "flash flooding."
Before the skies opened up, we had an incredible turnout! Thank you to all of our Tynes families who came out to support this event. While we didn't get to finish the evening as planned, we certainly made some memories that won't be washed away anytime soon!
Most importantly, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to our amazing PTA Board and parent volunteers who poured countless hours into planning, preparing, decorating, and setting up for this event. Their dedication deserves a thunderous round of applause! π
Our incredible PTA Board Members:

Cheryl Kamachi
Annie Choi

Our wonderful Parent Volunteers:

The forecast may have been unpredictable, but one thing is certain: Our Tynes community shines, rain or shine!
Thank you for making this a Halloween Bingo Night we'll never forget!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Dr. Borgese, Principal

π¦Ί Important Campus Safety Update π¦Ί
Dear Tynes Families,
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain among our highest priorities at Tynes Elementary.
Recently, Mrs. Miller and I met with PYLUSD's new Director of Safety to review our campus safety procedures and identify opportunities for improvement. During this meeting, we discussed several areas where we can strengthen our practices to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.
One immediate change involves the back gate that provides access to the Samp Park parking lot. Effective Wednesday November 4, 2026, this gate will remain closed, and students will no longer be permitted to enter or exit campus through this location.
We recognize that this change may create an inconvenience for some families who have relied on this access point for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and flexibility as you adjust your routines.
While convenience is important, the safety and security of our students must always come first. This decision reflects our commitment to maintaining a secure campus and ensuring that student arrival and dismissal take place through designated, supervised access points.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to keep Tynes Elementary a safe and welcoming place for all students.
With appreciation,
Dr. Christa Borgese
