The OMS Community Newsletter
Week of January 2 - 3
The bulletin board and the main lobby has snowflakes that share students' New Years resolutions. This was an activity students completed in Knight Time before the break.

Lost Items?
Our Lost & Found is full! Students should check it if they are missing items. Anything left in our lost and found at the end of the day on January 17th will be donated.
Lost items? If students have lost any items, they should check their classes to see if it was left behind. If it is not in one of the classrooms, then they can check the Lost & Found in the Cafeteria. We have many coats, jackets, and water bottles, and other items that have been found. Anything left in our lost and found at the end of the day on January 17th will be donated.
Lost bus pass or forgotten at home? Students can stop by the office for a temporary bus pass if they left their bus pass at home. If they lost their bus pass, they should check the office to see if someone found it. We can help replace the pass if needed.
Lost school ID? Students should stop by the office to see if their ID was found. We have many lost IDs returned to the office. Student IDs are used for lunch as lunch cards as students scan their bar code at checkout. If a student cannot find their ID, they can talk to an administrative assistant in the office to get a lunch card. Each week, we send a list of names to the kitchen and new lunch cards are made and issued.

Frequently Asked Questions
In middle school, there are many teachers, counselors, and administrators. It may be confusing to know who to contact in a school with 100 staff members! As a reminder, we have a Frequently Asked Questions guide to help answer questions and direct you to the appropriate staff member. You can view the attached document or find it on the OMS Website under the "Resources for Families & Students" tab and clicking "FAQs for Parents/Guardians."
After School Activity Reminders
Information about after school activities can be found on the OMS website under the "After School Tab." Clubs and activity information is updated throughout the year so students and parents/guardians can check here for information. Students can also get information by listening to the morning announcements and checking their OMS Students Google Classroom.
Late Bus Reminders
As a reminder, the late bus is free and accessible to any OMS or SHS student who participates in an after school activity or stays after school with a teacher. Students can receive a late bus pass from their activity's advisor/coach or the teacher they work with after school. The late bus departs OMS at 3:35-3:40pm.
There are three late buses this school year. Please keep in mind, the late bus has central stops so these will be different than the regular bus stops. Below are the routes and stops for the three late buses.
