Parking Pass Reminders
As a reminder students are required to have a pass to park in the lot and at Emerald. We will be sending specific communications to students that are not showing a pass. We ask that students purchase a pass within the first week of Quarter 2.
Semester Exams 2025
Semester Exams will be held on Dec. 16-Dec. 19 on a modified schedule. Next week I will share the detailed schedule. In the meantime, here are some general details.
- Year-long courses take exams. Semester courses do not have exams.
- We do not permit exams to be taken early.
- If a family chooses to leave early for break, all missed exams will be given Jan. 6-Jan. 9. This requires administrative approval.
- Teachers will not be able to reschedule individual exams for convenience.
- If a student is sick we will work with the family and student on the make up plan.
College Visit Volunteers
There aren't a ton of college visits left, BUT there are still looking for volunteers.
Perks to volunteering (because everyone loves perks):
1. You learn about different colleges and what they have to offer
2. You get acclimated with the application process which is helpful for when/if your student is a senior
3. The representatives from the colleges may talk about something that you/your student never even thought about considering during your own college search.
4. Sometimes you hear about scholarships, grants, etc that are specific to that school.
10/24 - Mount Carmel College of Nursing
10/27 - DePauw University
10/30 - Queens University of Charlotte
10/31- Columbus State Community College
11/3 - Juniata College
11/6 - Savannah College of Arts and Design
