The KPMS faculty and staff look forward to seeing our returning students and meeting our new students and their families. A new school year brings the promise of new experiences, meaningful learning, and personal growth.

At KPMS, we are committed to providing your child with consistency, structure, and a caring environment. We strive to inspire students to explore their interests and to prepare them for success. Our faculty and staff will work hard to make school a positive experience in which your child feels supported and challenged while continuing to develop a love of learning.

Below, you will find important information and reminders to help you prepare for the start of the school year. Please note that some details may be updated as we approach September. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and support.

Physical Examination & Immunization Requirements for School Entry

*Due by September 2, 2026*

MA Health Requirements: In compliance with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations, the KP School district requires the following documents before a student enters the school.

The school nurse must receive the following documents:

  • The latest physical within 30 days of entering the school

  • A current physical (within last year) for ALL 7th and 10th grade students

  • Annually before participation in school-sponsored sports

Immunization Requirements:

Massachusetts Department of Public Health Regulation 105 CMR 220 requires immunizing students before starting school. An immunization certificate/record that includes the month, day, and year the immunizations were administered must be submitted to and reviewed by the school nurse before the student begins school.

Exemption - If there are medical reasons why your child has not been immunized, a certificate must be obtained from your physician and forwarded to the school nurse; this letter should be provided annually. For religious exemption, a letter must be provided annually stating that the immunization(s) are against one's sincere religious beliefs. Please note that if there is an outbreak of a communicable disease, those students with exemptions may be excluded for the duration of the incubation of that particular illness.

Chromebooks for new students have arrived! We have two opportunities prior to the start of school for 7th graders and new students to pick up their Chromebooks: an early pickup day and the KPMS School Walkthrough.

To help avoid long lines and heavy crowds on August 20, we would greatly appreciate families taking advantage of the early pickup day if they are able.

Chromebook pickup will be available on Friday, August 14, as well as during the KPMS School Walkthrough on Thursday, August 20. Students can pick up their Chromebook in the cafeteria during the following times on either day:

  • 9:00 AM–11:00 AM
  • 12:30 PM–2:30 PM

**Important: Prior to pick-up, you must register your child for a Chromebook.**

PLEASE CLICK HERE to fill out the registration form. On the registration form there will also be an option to purchase a protection plan. Please note that the KP School District Chromebook registration form is on the King Philip High School's Arbiter Sports registration page.

Students who are unable to pick-up their Chromebook during the School Walkthrough or early pick-up day will receive their Chromebook during the opening days of school.

School counselors are based on the first letter of students' last names:

  • Eric Lipschutz – Last Names A–F

Our school counselors work closely with teaching teams to support students socially, emotionally, and academically. They also serve as liaisons between home and school. We look forward to continuing our partnership in supporting all KPMS students and families.
