Bluff Monthly Update--October

It is October already!! The year is moving so fast. Thank you for all of your support so far this year! The students are really settling in to their classrooms and doing some great work. Some good news to share, which I will talk more about down below is ATTENDANCE!! We are over 96% attendance so far this year. THANK YOU for making school a priority and getting your students to school!
Also, October is the month to join in a lot of family fun opportunities at school! Parents and families, we need and want you to be at school with your child(ren) and our staff. Please check out the great opportunities below! I look forward to seeing you around Bluff soon!

SAVE THE DATE! October 20
If you would like to bring your kids because you don't have anyone to watch them, please bring them and we will have childcare available. We will send the kids off with some high school students at 5:30 and have some good adult time after that. We commit to being done by 6:30! Hope to see you there!

Thursday, November 6th - Bluff BINGO Night, 6:00-7:00
**Every Friday is Early Out!
Each week, I will announce which grade level had the best attendance! The students will know if their grade level had the highest number. I will also update families on Facebook! We continue to be above 96%, but we can only maintain that great number with your help. Below are the yearly averages so far. 1st grade is rocking it!! Great job 1st grade!
Please also know that when your child has reached 5 absences, you will get a call from the school, at 7 absences you will receive a letter, and at 11 absences, we will set up a meeting with you to come to school and create an Attendance Prevention Plan. Our goal is to keep problem solving with you!

Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 16 for our annual math and literacy night! There will be FREE dinner and lots of FREE F-U-N!! We have lots of Halloween themed activities and games. We can't wait to see you and celebrate learning with your family! You can also wear your costumes if you would like!
We are currently doing a Nothing Bundt Cake Fundraiser to support the staff and students through PTA! Every little bit you sell, will help us provide needed resources for our school. Please SELL, SELL, SELL!!
- Sell between NOW and October 14! ALL MONEY AND ORDERS ARE DUE OCTOBER 15!
- Payment in the form of cash or check (checks made payable to Bluff PTA)
- Bundt cakes should be in on October 24. We will get you pick up information when I know a time!
- The class who sells the most will get an extra recess and ice cream treats with Mrs. Cooley!
