4th Grade News
Hello Fourth Grade Families!
We welcomed Mrs. Kelley into our room this week to read a story and teach us more about Nepal. The story was about the first woman to climb Mt. Everest! We will continue to learn about Nepal throughout the year as we cultivate our mission of being globally engaged as part of the Portrait of a Visitation Learner.
Have your child share these experiences with you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmest Regards,
Amy

Literacy Centers
Literacy centers are structured, independent activities that give upper elementary students opportunities to practice reading, writing, vocabulary, and language skills in meaningful ways. They are used to reinforce classroom instruction and curriculum standards while allowing students to work at their own pace and apply skills they have learned during whole-group and small-group lessons. Through independent literacy centers, students can strengthen academic skills while also developing independence, responsibility, problem-solving, and confidence as learners.
