iPad returns and assignments

TK - 2nd grade students will be turning in their iPads and chargers to the library and not taking them home over the summer. Please be sure that you send these to school with your child on Monday. You got a separate email explaining this to you.

3rd- 5th Grade students have an iPad but we would greatly encourage limited use over the summer. It is far better for students to read and be active in physical activities.

Thank you.

Parents with Children who have medication Parents with Children who have medication

The school year is ending. Your child’s medication needs to be picked up on or before June 5th at your child’s school site. After June 5th, medications can be picked up at the District Office in Building 13 until June 18th. All medication will be discarded if not picked up by this date. A new physician’s medication order must be signed for the upcoming school year. The Temecula Valley Unified School District website (www.tvusd.k12.ca.us) has the Authorization for the Administration of Medication form located under the “Departments” tab in the drop down list titled Health Services; click on Medications at School. One form is needed for each medication checked in. If you need further assistance, please call the health office at your child’s school.

Finish Strong - Attend Every Day Finish Strong - Attend Every Day

Let’s Finish Strong: Why May is the "Gold Medal" Month!

Dear Families,

We have officially entered the final stretch of the school year! While the sun is shining and summer feels just around the corner, our theme for May is more important than ever:

"Finish Strong: End-of-year attendance counts more than ever!"

It’s tempting to start the vacation early, but the final weeks of school are some of the most meaningful. Here is why we need your student here every day until the final bell:

  • The Final Pieces of the Puzzle: In May, teachers aren't just "filling time." They are helping students connect everything they’ve learned all year into a complete picture. Missing these days is like missing the final chapter of a great book.

  • Celebration of Growth: From Field Days to end-of-year showcases, these weeks are filled with moments that honor your child’s hard work. We want every student here to experience the joy of their accomplishments with their peers.

  • A Smooth Transition: Consistent attendance in May helps students feel regulated and secure as they prepare to move up to the next grade level. It allows them to say "see you later" to friends and teachers properly, providing the emotional closure they need for a happy summer.

How to help your child cross the finish line:

  1. Keep the Routine: Stick to your regular bedtime and morning habits. Consistency is the best tool against "May fatigue."

  2. Highlight the Fun: Talk to your child about the special end-of-year projects or events happening in their classrooms this week.

  3. Stay the Course: Unless your child is truly ill, prioritize school attendance over early vacation starts or non-essential appointments.

Let’s show our students that we value their education from the first day to the very last. Let’s finish this year proud and strong!

With gratitude for your partnership,

Mrs. Eagleton
