5th Grade Writing Lesson
Each year 5th grade students think of what they might like to be when they grow up and write to that organization or college that will help them get the necessary education for that career. Students have been getting great responses from colleges with a letter back to students and some even include "swag". Great job 5th graders!

Drop-off and End of Day Dismissal Reminder
Just a reminder to parents and guardians that we have various modes available for student pickup. Please utilize the most appropriate pick-up method for your student.
Drop-off: Please make sure your student is not being dropped off on Maple St. That is not a drop-off location. Please make sure students are being taken to the main elementary entrance.
Dismissal: We begin dismissal at 2:50pm and make our way to where students need to go at the end of the day. All students should be dismissed by 3:00pm. If your students pick-up mode needs to be changed, please change it on the app OR call the office by 2:15pm. The office has the ability to change it on the PikMyKid platform. I have to follow what PikMyKid says at the end of the day.
Pick-Up Modes
Elementary Staff Walker: Walking within the elementary school to parent/guardian/approved pick-up person.
Secondary Walker: Walking to the middle/high school to parent/guardian/approved pick-up person.
Independent Walker: Able to walk independently to their after school destination (home, daycare, etc.).
Walk-up Pick-up: Meeting with an adult after school. This is supervised by adults and students will be checked out as they leave.
Car Line: Picked up in the car line by approved adult.
Bus: Taken to home/preferred destination by district bus.
WAAC: After school program located in the elementary. *Have to be enrolled in the program.
