SEPTEMBER 19, 2025
Spartan Pride Shines Bright!
This week brought wonderful accolades that showcase the dedication and character of our Spartans.
We’re excited to announce that Springton Lake has earned the Central League Sportsmanship Award for 2024-2025! You can find a full list of teams and their recognitions below. With 7th and 8th grade competitive seasons starting soon, it’s a great time to support our athletes. For 6th graders, intramurals are a fun way to get active and become part of the Spartan spirit. See the details below to find out how to join!
In addition, SLMS has earned the School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) Tier 1 designation. This recognition highlights the positive behaviors, respect, and values we strive to build every day at school. We are honored to be recognized at the state PBIS Conference on November 14.
Both of these accomplishments remind us what it means to be Spartan Proud!
Looking ahead, PSSA results will be sent home next week. These reports, provided by the PA Department of Education, give valuable insights into your child’s academic growth, achievement, and areas for continued progress.
Sincerely,
Ryan Buterbaugh
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
We’re excited to welcome our students each morning starting at 7:40 AM when our doors open! For safety, all drop-off and pick-up should be curbside only in the lane in front of the building. Please avoid the parking lot.
Please pull forward as far as possible and follow staff directions for safety. Once stopped along the sidewalk, students should be ready to exit. The same process will be used for afternoon pick-up.
Students should be in first-period class by 7:55 AM.
Thank you for helping us make arrival and dismissal safe and smooth for all Spartans!
FALL PICTURE DAY
Barksdale Photographers will be at The Lake on Thursday, September 25th, to photograph all students. Pictures will be taken in the auditorium during the school day.
Families may place orders online at www.barksdalephoto.com. If ordering online, please use the Springton Lake Middle School Access Code: 18306IN.
