The Sheiko Weekly Update
Sheiko Elementary: November 8, 2024
PRINCIPAL UPDATE
Hi Sheiko Families,
There were so many engaging learning opportunities at Sheiko this week! From our PBIS (positive behavior intervention strategies) pizza lunch to the "new Sheiko" groundbreaking to the "Underground Teacher Spirit Days" - we had a ball! Be sure to ask your student(s) about the teachers who were dressed the same (twinning!) or teachers with "Big Dreams, Big Hair"! The teachers were keeping the students on their toes!
Our "Big Announcement" this week is about report cards and conferences. You can see your child's report card on Power School by tomorrow. We will also email you the report card by 11/12. Our goal is to have 100% of our families participate in a conference with their child's teacher. Please keep this sheet handy for the sign up and the Google Meet link. It is not too late to sign up! The home-school connection is the best way to ensure your child's success!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

WATCH D.O.G.S.
Dear Fathers and Father-Figures:
On Tuesday, November 12, from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., we will be having our ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at our school. You will meet here at the Sheiko iCenter at 5:30 p.m. for FREE pizza and drinks. At 6:00 p.m., we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears. Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . . . this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school. In order to participate, you need to do two things:
1. Scan the QR Code to RSVP so we’ll have an accurate head count for the food.
2. Mark your calendars, and we’ll see you from Tuesday, November 12, from
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Graham
