#PartnersInGrowth Family Resource Fair
Join us at the #PartnersInGrowth Family Resource Fair from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 6, at Naperville Central High School.
Naperville 203 is surrounded by several community resources which benefit our students and families. The goal is to provide a “one-stop location” for families to access, speak with, and gain knowledge of resources, programs, services and supports that benefit families within our community. More than 40 organizations have already signed up to support our families. Hope to see you there!
If your organization would like to get involved, please email Jacque Clermont, Director of Community Relations, at jclermont@naperville203.org.
Chicago Bears Classroom Legend Recognized
Congratulations to Naperville 203 Dual Language Coordinator Dr. Maribel Guerrero on being recognized as a Chicago Bears Classroom Legend! This program acknowledges quality educators who go above and beyond!
Maribel works with administration, other coordinators, specialists and teachers to make sure that all groups are represented. She is an amazing team player that always brings a great wealth of knowledge to every meeting that she attends. She is kind and has such a passion that is contagious. She makes sure that every student, regardless of their background, understands that there is hope. She advocates for every student because they all deserve the opportunity to reach their highest potential.
Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month
On Friday, May 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy Junior High, all members of the Naperville 203 community are welcome to come together and learn and celebrate the contributions and achievements of the AAPI community.
Naperville North To Host 'A Pint For Kim' Blood Drive
A Pint For Kim, a national grassroots movement created in 2020 in honor of a Naperville mom who lost her eight-year battle with a rare cancer, is hosting its largest annual blood drive on Saturday, May 13, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Naperville North High School.
The drive was set up three years ago following the passing of Kimberley Benedyk Sandford, who suffered from chemo-induced anemia and required more than forty blood transfusions in her final months of life. Those donations gave her precious time to spend with her family, and to say goodbye to her husband and two young sons.
G.L.O.W 5K Run for Reading
Lace up your running shoes to support the G.L.O.W 5K Run for Reading on May 20. This annual event's proceeds will go directly to the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy to acquire and distribute resources that provide enriched literacy opportunities for the learners within the Naperville community and Naperville 203 directly.
