Hunter Family Swim Night
When: Friday January 31, 2020 from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Where: Flat Rock Community Center, 1 Maguire Street, Flat Rock, MI 48134
Cost: $3.00 / person (only those swimming)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All children MUST be accompanied by an adult. Any child under the age of 8 years old MUST have a parent swim with them. Children age 8 years and older may swim alone but a parent must be present. All Hunter family members are welcome!

Attendance Letters
Next week attendance notification letters will be mailed. These letters are sent to anyone who has 10 or more absences or more than 10 tardies. Additional attendance information that was sent home at the begining of the school year is also attached below. It is important to note that parent verified absences are not considered excused.
Board of Education Spotlight
This month I had the priveledge of spotlighting three 5th grade students at the Board of Education Meeting: Drew, Aubrey and Kaitlyn. These three 5th grade students are in charge of our morning announcements each day. They are in charge of writing the news script each day which includes Positive Behavior Reminders, the weather, inspirational quotes and school happenings. Additionally, these students are responsible for filming the annoucements, uploading them to our youtube channel and emailing them to the entire staff.
Each of these students are multi-sport athletes. All of them love math! Finally, each of them speak very highly of the love and support their parents (families) show for them.

Clothing Donations
If you are cleaning out your child's closet and find they have outgrown any elastic waist pants for male/female that are in gently used condition, Hunter could use a stock pile. We have students needing a quick change of clothes for many reasons. We are out of most elementary aged students sizes in both male and female. We ask for elastic waistpants (gym pants), leggings, sweatpants rather than jeans! Additionally, we could use a variety of t-shirt/long-sleeve shirt sizes for both male and female. Please think of us when when you do your dresser and closet clean outs!
This is also a great time to remind families to pack an entire extra change of clothes in your child's backpack!
