The staff at Newcastle Elementary has been working so hard to get everything ready for our students. Open House Night gave us all a glimpse of what to expect on Wednesday. 😊 Students are why we do what we do! We have many new faces here at Newcastle Elementary, including mine. While there are many of you, I plan on being present and available to meet everyone. I know that change can be difficult, but we are trying to make it as seamless as possible.
I know that the first few days of school can bring a little anxiety to both students and parents. We are here to help with this! Parents are not allowed to walk students into the building or the classroom, but if you want to park and walk your child up to the school, please park far enough away that it doesn't cause any congestion or make an unsafe area for our walkers. The best practice is to stay in your car, and a teacher will be there to assist your child. Again, I know the first few days of school are different. So, if you walk your child up, please allow a teacher to help your child into the school building. However, let's get into a routine of staying in your car and allowing teachers to assist students after the first few days.
All teachers should have reached out to parents through Class Dojo. This is our main line of communication. However, feel free to email teachers as another form of communication, if needed.
