Deer Run Newsletter
Friday, August 29, 2025
Deer Run Families,
We’ve wrapped up another great week of school! This week, students began their beginning-of-the-year assessments, helping us learn more about their strengths and needs as we plan for growth.
Looking ahead, we are excited to host Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 4. You’ll find the detailed schedule below. In addition to classroom presentations, we’ll have a food truck on site for families to enjoy.
We are also thrilled to showcase our outdoor classroom area, a wonderful new space made possible through the generous support of our Deer Run PTO.
We look forward to seeing you at this special event and partnering with you throughout the year!
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Go Bucks!

Dublin City Schools is happy to collaborate with local organizations to bring families a wide variety of after school enrichment opportunities for students! Explore the After School Activities page to discover activities and programs your child will love. Check them out today – many classes start next week!
Dismissal Changes
In the event of an emergency and the need to change a student's dismissal method be sure to send an email to the classroom teacher AND the attendance email (Dres_attendance@dublinschools.net). Teachers are extremely busy during the school day, therefore, it is not guaranteed that the teacher would have time to review the parent email prior to dismissal. Be sure to submit changes as early as possible to increase the likelihood that the communication will be received by our school team prior to dismissal.
Student Car Drop Off and Pick Up
As a reminder, car drop off and pick up for all students should take place at the back door of the school. Last school year, students were being dropped off at Grizzell, in the school parking lot, and in the neighborhood adjacent to the school. We want to ensure that all of our students are safely dropped off at school, therefore only the backdoor area should be used. Also, we also want to be considerate of our neighbors that live in the homes adjacent to the school. Therefore, adhering to this guidelines is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The recording of Tuesday’s Public Information Session on high school redistricting is now available on YouTube. As we have shared, Dublin City Schools has hired Cropper GIS to lead this process.
