PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

Hello Eagle Crest Families,

I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to September! I’m excited to invite you to our upcoming Eagle Crest Family Picnic on Friday, September 12th. I hope you’ll join us for this special evening of fun, connection, and community.

Date: Friday, September 12th

Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

This is a great chance for us to come together, catch up with old friends, meet new families, and celebrate the amazing community we’re building at Eagle Crest. Here’s what you can expect:

What to Bring:

  • Pack your favorite picnic food, blankets, and chairs so you can kick back and enjoy the evening.

  • The Mwebaza Club will be selling drinks to raise funds to support our sister school in Uganda.

What to Expect:

  • All are welcome! Whether you’re new to the school or have been here for years, we’d love for you to come and join us for this free and fun event. The picnic is a great opportunity to get to know other Eagle Crest families while enjoying the beautiful mountain views.

  • Let the kids play and make new friends while we, the adults, have a chance to connect with each other. It’s one of the many ways we can continue to strengthen our Eagle Crest community!

If you have any questions about volunteering or the picnic, feel free to reach out to events@eaglecrestpto.com.

I can’t wait to see you all on tomorrow, Friday, September 12th, for an evening filled with connection, fun, and community spirit. Let’s come together to make this event a great success!

Warmly,
Amanda

PTO UPDATE

Eagle Crest Families,

As we settle into another school year, it’s clear how many hands and hearts it takes to make Eagle Crest thrive. Our students are growing and succeeding because of our incredible teachers, dedicated staff, and supportive community.

One of the most meaningful ways we show our gratitude is through the Staff Appreciation Fund. Collected at the start of the year and used that same year, this fund allows the PTO to provide conference meals, Teacher Appreciation Week surprises, lounge supplies, and other gestures of appreciation—all on behalf of our families.

By contributing now, you help ensure our teachers feel supported all year long without the PTO needing to ask for additional donations during busy times. A suggested $10 per student will help us reach our goal, but every gift matters and is deeply appreciated.

Conferences are right around the corner, and we’re currently only at 22% of our goal. Let’s come together to make sure our teachers are celebrated, fed, and cared for. Please donate today!

Here are some important reminders:

  • In-school volunteer opportunities. A great way to get a peek into your child’s day

  • Welcome Back Picnic September 12th

  • September 25th 4-8 PM QDOBA restaurant night- in-person or online; 25% goes to EC PTO!

  • Crackpots Back to School Fundraiser, go in anytime during the month of September, mention Eagle Crest at checkout and we get 10%!

Best,

Linda Cardwell

PTO President

MWEBAZA CLUB

Eagle Crest and Mwebaza Annex School in Uganda formed a partnership in 2018. Since then the two schools have enjoyed learning about each other through cross-cultural exchange activities, art projects, and live video events. Eagle Crest students participate in activities and learning opportunities that foster an understanding of self, community, global understanding, and a deepened worldview, while building friendships abroad. Additionally, we have a leadership opportunity for students in 3rd-5th grades to be a part of our monthly Mwebaza Club. See the flyer below for more information!

IPAD INSURANCE - LAST CHANCE TO OPT IN

We strongly recommend families opt into our iPad Insurance program to cover accidental damage. The replacement cost for new iPads is $677.95. The insurance fee is $25 for the year, with reduced fees available for qualifying families. Incremental payments are accepted. Learn more about the insurance program here: English / Español.

Without insurance, families are responsible for the full cost of repairs or replacement, which can be a significant financial burden. The insurance program offers peace of mind, ensuring students can continue learning without disruption in the event of accidental damage. Taking advantage of this low-cost option helps protect your investment and supports uninterrupted access to instructional technology.

FREE AND REDUCED FEES

While lunch charges no longer apply, we kindly urge all families to complete the Free & Reduced Fees Application. This not only benefits your family with reduced fees for things like iPad Insurance, but also supports our school in terms of funding and staffing. Remember to renew this application annually for access to various benefits.

Apply for free & reduced fees today to take advantage of these opportunities!

If you require assistance or prefer a paper application, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

SPECIALS COLOR DAY ROTATION

Eagle Crest's specials follow a three-day rotation: RED, YELLOW, PURPLE. Every month, a new calendar is provided, outlining the rotation. This helps your family plan and ensure the right shoes are ready for PE activities.

*Your classroom teachers will let you know which color your child has Art/Music/PE.
