RoBee Report
August 31st, 2026
Dear Global Impact Academy Parents and Students,
As we begin to close out the month of August, we are nearing the end of the 4.5 week grade reporting period. Parents, please be sure to stay in tune with what is happening, academically, with your student in each of their classes. Please be sure to reach out to your student's teachers with any questions or concerns.
I also wanted to share with the entire RoBee Nation, GIA has officially placed on the US News & World Report High School Ranking as the Top 30th High School in Georgia, 22nd in Metro Atlanta High Schools, and 6th in Fulton County Schools !
This recognition is a reflection of the intentional work our faculty and staff commit to everyday as well as our healthy parent and family partnerships. Thank you for continuing to raise the bar and make GIA a school of distinction. I am incredibly proud of this distinction!
With excitement and gratitude,
Principal Johnathan Hall

State Superintendent Advisory Council Application- NOW OPEN
State School Superintendent Richard Woods seeks students in grades 10-12 to serve on his 2026-2027 Student Advisory Council. These students will meet with Superintendent Woods to discuss the impact of state policies in the classroom and other education-related issues. They will serve as the Superintendent's ambassadors to their respective schools.
"One of the most important parts of my job is listening to students," Superintendent Woods said. "The Student Advisory Council allows me to hear directly from young people about their experiences, challenges, and ideas for the future of education in Georgia. These students serve as ambassadors for their schools and communities, and their perspectives help ensure student voices remain at the center of our work. I encourage eligible students from across Georgia to apply and share their unique viewpoints."
Any Georgia student in grades 10-12 may complete an application to be considered for the Student Advisory Council. The application includes short essay prompts that allow students to share their ideas for public education.
The Student Advisory Council will meet four times in person during the school year; meeting dates will be posted on the Student Advisory Council webpage.
The 2026-2027 Student Advisory Council application is available online. Student applicants must apply by September 4, 2026, at 5 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.
Georgia students in grades 10-12 are eligible to apply.
Selected students will be contacted via email. All students may visit the Student Advisory Council webpage on October 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. to determine if they have been selected.
Please note that each year we typically receive hundreds more applications than we can accept. Not being selected for the Student Advisory Council does not mean the student's application did not meet the qualifications.
