🚨 LAST DAY TO REGISTER: TUESDAY, MARCH 31! 🚨

Enrollment is now officially open for the Summer Discovery Program at MVR-III!

Summer Discovery is a completely FREE, four-week summer learning experience held Monday through Friday, June 1-30. We invite all incoming K-8 students to join us for a fun-filled month of STEM-based games, exciting field trips, and engaging activities!

What’s New This Year?

To make the process easier for our families, we have streamlined registration. This year, parents will log in to your Parent Portal to confirm information for all students in the household. This single login will prompt you to:

  1. Complete the required Annual Update.

  2. Register students for Kindergarten (if applicable).

  3. Enroll K–8 students in 2026 Summer Discovery.

Completing all three tasks at once saves you time and eliminates the need for multiple separate registrations! To learn more about the program and begin your enrollment, please visit our Summer Discovery website.

Volunteer Opportunities Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to volunteer or attend/chaperone a field trip with Nike Elementary? Volunteering helps create a positive community, makes school better, and increases student achievement.

If you plan to volunteer, attend field trips, or help at classroom parties, you will first need to complete the background check process. Two background checks are now required, and the process takes up to 10 days to complete.

We suggest families plan ahead and complete the process prior to the start of each school year. Volunteers should review the link below. Please contact the Nike Office at 636-271-1444 if you have any questions.

Be a WatchDOG! 🐾 Be a WatchDOG! 🐾

A WatchDOG Dad (short for Dads of Great Students) is a father, grandfather, uncle, or other male role model who volunteers at a school to help create a positive and safe environment for students. The Watch D.O.G.S.® program is a national initiative that encourages men to get involved in schools by spending a day (or more) on campus helping with things like:

  • Greeting students as they arrive

  • Assisting in classrooms

  • Monitoring hallways, the cafeteria, or playground

  • Providing positive male role models

  • Promoting safety and school spirit

The goal of the program is to increase male involvement in education and strengthen the connection between families and schools.

We’re excited to welcome all parents, grandparents, and family members—men and women—to join as WatchDOG volunteers! You can help greet students, assist in classrooms, and make our school an even better place to learn. 💙 If you are interested in becoming a WatchDog, please use the link below sign up.

Join Meramec Valley R-III School District Superintendent Dr. Carrie Schwierjohn for a facilities tour of Pacific Intermediate. See and hear current and former staff members describe the challenges students and teachers face on a daily basis as they navigate the nearly 75 year old school.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, residents of MVR-III will vote on Proposition S—a $43 million general obligation bond issue. When approved by 57.14% of voters, approximately $38 million of the bond’s total will be used to construct a new energy-efficient middle school with a storm shelter to replace Pacific Intermediate. Every Pre-K through 5th grade student today will experience attending the new school.

MVR-III property taxpayers WILL NOT see property tax rates increase because of an approved bond issue.

On Tuesday, April 7, our community will vote on Proposition S—a $43 million general obligation bond issue for the Meramec Valley R-III School District. 🗳️

This measure WILL NOT raise property taxes when approved and will provide the funds for improvements at all of our campuses and the construction of a new middle school to replace Pacific Intermediate.

The proposal is the result of a multi-year effort by the Board of Education and the administration to identify solutions to our most pressing facility needs while not placing additional burden on property taxpayers.
