Our Class of 2025 seniors celebrated an unforgettable Senior Sunrise last Friday! As the sun rose, our seniors gathered in their custom jeans, played games and enjoyed breakfast together, soaking in the beauty of the morning and the excitement of their final year. This sunrise marks just the beginning of many special moments ahead, where they will celebrate, make lasting memories, and carry on our proud traditions. A heartfelt thank you to their sponsors, Ms. Torres and Mr. Renteria, for making this magical morning possible and for always supporting our Warriors! Here's to an amazing senior year!

Growing STRONG in Mathematics & Reading!

This past Friday, we treated our middle school students to ice cream and popcorn for showing growth on their Math Growth Beginning-of-Year (BOY) Diagnostic test in both Mathematics and Reading! Every SINGLE student showed growth, and we couldn’t be prouder! Help us keep up this momentum! Students are encouraged to access Khan Academy to practice their math and reading skills. They can log in to Khan Academy through EPISD Plaza. We will begin recognizing students who achieve mastery in Khan Academy! Students who consistently log in and dedicate time to practicing their skills through this program have shown improved PSAT and SAT scores. Let’s get our students college-ready!

BaCk To ScHoOl DaNcE & COLLEGE PREP- Friday, September 20th

Back to School Middle School Dance:

We're excited to announce our first Middle School Dance of the school year will take place this Friday, September 20th at 2:30pm in our cafeteria! We will have a modified schedule to allow for the dance and college prep activities for high schoolers.

Tickets for the dance will be sold in the cafeteria on Friday, September 20th, during breakfast and lunch. Tickets are $5.00 and will also grant students free dress for the event. Snacks will be sold during the dance! Please note, students must be in good standing to attend! They must be passing all their classes with a 70% or better! Students who are not passing will be assigned to study hall.

COLLEGE Preparation for High Schoolers:

While the middle school students enjoy the dance, 9th and 10th graders will prepare for the TSIA2 exam! The TSIA2 is the college entrance exam used by EPCC and UTEP, covering reading, writing, and mathematics. This test is required by EPISD for graduation, and successful completion allows students to enroll in Dual Credit courses! Khan academy test prep for PSAT and SAT will also prepare students for the TSIA2 exam! Support your student by ensuring they log into Khan Academy and get some practice! Data shows 150 hours of study improves test scores and increases college admission and scholarship opportunities!

Our 11th graders will participate in a Junior College Exploration Workshop, while 12th graders will have Senior Interviews with their counselors. All students will use the Khan Academy test prep program to prepare for their official SAT exam, scheduled for October 22, 2024. It's essential that students prepare thoroughly—don’t let them take the test without practicing! Many colleges offer automatic admission and scholarships to students who achieve certain scores. Let’s find out what score your college requires!

Seniors will also participate in the "APPLY TEXAS" workshop on September 17th- this will support them in applying to all Texas schools!
