WSD BOARD MEETING REPORT

The Wentzville School District Board of Education held a meeting on Tuesday, July 25, that was live-streamed via the WSD Board of Education YouTube channel and can be viewed by visiting YouTube. Dr. Tormala, superintendent of schools, began the business portion of the meeting by providing comments and sharing District highlights. View the slideshow.

Mr. Brian Bishop presented a Human Resources Staffing Update.

The District and Board have developed Progress and Performance Measures which align with the Board of Education Goals and the goals from our current Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP). Following Board approval in December, the District has continuously monitored and tracked our progress. View the update here.

District Administration has developed clarification to the District's current dress code policy. This guidance has been developed with the input of administrators and will be shared with the buildings for the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

Dress Code Clarification (2023-2024)

The WSD Board of Education approved hiring Dr. Kathryn (Katie) Greer as principal of Frontier Middle School, effective July 5, 2023. Dr. Greer has nineteen years of experience in the Francis Howell and Lincoln County school districts. In Francis Howell, she served eight years as a physical education and health teacher at Francis Howell High School, one year as a dean of students, and one year as an assistant principal and seven years as the associate principal at Francis Howell North. Most recently, in Lincoln County R-III School District, she has been the building principal at Troy Middle School. Read more.

The Wentzville School District Board of Education approved hiring Eric Eubank as an assistant principal of Frontier Middle School, effective July 24, 2023. Mr. Eubank has thirteen years of experience in education. In the Francis Howell School District, he served four years as a physical education teacher at Warren Elementary, five years as a physical education, health, and driver’s education teacher at Francis Howell North High School, and most recently served four years as assistant principal at Fairmount Elementary School. Resignations

In June, the Board approved the resignation of Jeffrey Gates, operations manager, effective July 18, 2023.
