All funds raised go directly into our Student Activity Fund, which supports the fun and meaningful experiences our students love—recess equipment, celebration days, snow cone days, special events, hands-on lessons, and more. These funds help keep our school culture engaging, joyful, and above and beyond for our students.

Students can participate by registering through the QR code on the flyer and sharing their unique link with family and friends. There are fun, cumulative prizes for students as they sell more items—including the chance to earn a Game Truck experience at school!

💜 Checks payable to: Zitzman Elementary

Thank you for supporting our students and helping make school a place they love to be!

Valentines Day at Zitzman Elementary Valentines Day at Zitzman Elementary

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we’re excited to celebrate while keeping the focus on learning! We WILL celebrate on Friday, February 13th, but please remember—it is still a school day, and students will be engaged in learning activities, many with a fun Valentine’s theme.

Here are a few important reminders:

  • Next Steps & Teacher Communication – You should be receiving details from your child’s teacher regarding their specific classroom plans. If you haven’t heard anything and have concerns, please reach out to them or me.
  • Valentine’s Exchange – Students will be allowed to pass out Valentine’s cards during a designated classroom time. Please ensure your child brings one for each classmate to include everyone.
  • No Candy Policy – We CANNOT accept valentines with candy attached. However, small, non-food items such as pencils, erasers, stickers, fidgets, or bookmarks, etc. are great alternatives. I am a parent as well and I understand how hard it is to go to the store and find valentines without food/candy of some sort. If a valentine is brought with anything edible the students will be asked to keep it in their bag/box until they get home for parent supervision/decision on what they can and cannot have.

Thank you for helping us make this a fun and inclusive celebration while keeping our focus on learning. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! ❤️

26-27 Kindergarten Registration 26-27 Kindergarten Registration

Dear MVR-III Families,

Do you have a child who will be ready for kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year? Kindergarten registration opens Monday, February 2nd.

Because you are an existing family within the district, this will be completed through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Watch this IC online registration video for a preview.

If you do not have your Infinite Campus Parent Portal set up, please contact your school building secretary for assistance. You will be provided a KEY, which can be entered on this Infinite Campus-New User webpage to create your account.

To make the process as easy and efficient as possible for families, the district has streamlined registration so you can take care of several important tasks at the same time.

Through a single login in Infinite Campus, you can confirm information for all students in your household, which will complete your:

  • required Annual Update,
  • register your child for kindergarten (if applicable),
  • and enroll K–8 students in 2026 Summer Discovery.

Completing all three tasks at once saves time and eliminates the need to complete separate registrations.

***An email from the district was sent out with exact directions - if you did not receive it but would like me to send it your way please reach out to me (Dr. Sladek) or our school office!***

From me to you... From me to you...

Dear Zitzman Families,

February is here, and it already feels like a big, good month at Zitzman.

We’re kicking things off with our Bobo’s Fundraiser, and I just want to say thank you in advance for the support. Every dollar raised goes right back to our students — helping fund student activities, celebrations, and the moments that make school fun, meaningful, and memorable. Whether you’re able to participate a little, a lot, or just help spread the word, it truly matters.

February is also a month full of kindness, love, and purpose around our building. You’ll see that show up in classrooms, in the way we treat one another, and in all the learning and celebrations packed into the weeks ahead. It’s a busy month — full of learning, connection, and continued communication between home and school — and I’m excited about all of it.

What makes Zitzman special is our people. When families and staff work together, support one another, and stay connected, our kids thrive. Thank you for being part of that — for showing up, staying involved, and helping us keep Zitzman feeling like the strong, supportive community it is.

Here’s to a February full of growth, kindness, and rising together

Leading and learning,

Dr. Sladek
