School Spotlight
Our students have been working to show that they are Dutchmen Champions by being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn! We can't wait to see how our Wall of Champions continues to grow throughout the year.
Congratulations to this third-grade student! He showed that he was ready to learn by coming to school prepared!
Third-grade students participated in the back-to-school relay this week. They had a blast racing through the obstacles while balancing their supplies!
This week, Luke showed that he was a Champion of Good Sportsmanship by following through on an agreement. After the Eagles beat the Cowboys, he donned the Eagles' Super Bowl flag, which absolutely delighted Mrs. Herman!
Students throughout the building took time to remember those lost, as well as the heroes and the helpers who responded on September 11th. Mrs. Martin's third-grade class created these remembrance ribbons to honor Patriot Day.
Students in Mrs. Wasilewski's sixth-grade social studies classes also discussed the events that occurred on 9/11. They created posters that included facts and tributes to the people lost and the heroes from that day.
Mrs. Davis celebrated with all of the students who participated in the Summer Reading Challenge. They enjoyed ice cream sundaes and some play time with their friends!
AE students traveled to the secondary school for the band demo on Friday! They were able to hear selections from the marching band, as well as learn about each instrument that they could learn to play. Instrumental music lessons are available to interested students in grades 4-6. Please get in touch with Mr. Nyce (4th-grade) or Mr. Puglio (5th and 6th-grades) for more information.
Students in Mrs. Bahler's classes came ready to learn this week! We're proud of their hard work!
Students in Mr. Deiter's fifth-grade science classes learned what a phenomenon is this week and common phenomenon that occur around us. Then, they dug into the phenomenon of the leaves changing color in the fall, how this happens, and why this happens.
