WDMs on December 9th

Here's the schedule for next week. Don't forget data meeting cover sheets are due HERE by Monday afternoon.

Here's the calendar for what you're submitting, the link for the data cover sheet is linked on here as well:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EF8U-oA3nIHj_su2GUP6y7-e90MA97qkSxaKTdV4y_Q/edit#gid=0

Make sure data trackers are updated with grades so we can see an overall class picture.

Audit Results

We audited 17 teachers (specials, SPED and intervention you're next!) in the 7 areas above for a total of 119 total checkpoints. We only found 20 areas where things needed to be corrected. If my math is correct that gives us an 83%, woohoo!

Those who needed to make changes were emailed. Please have your changes made by Monday and email Jana or I once you have made the changes to your pages.

Congratulations to Ysilia, Ines, Mercedes, Blair, Kathy, Sandra, Reianna and Isabel for having ALL 7 COMPONENTS! You get an A+

What have you all wanted?

More TIME!

I'm hoping this will help....beginning in January we will COMPLETELY CHANGE the master schedule at Park Crest. We're hoping with the new schedule you will have larger blocks of time to teach and one day a week you will have back to back library and specials. A full 1 hour and 40 minutes to work on planning!! You'll drop your students off at specials or library and our amazing team will get them moved where they need to go and specials teachers will go back to doing like they did last year - giving restroom breaks!

Here are things to think about:

1. PreK - unfortunately since you all don't go to library right now we couldn't make that work for you.

2. The instructional minutes are listed but you have full power to change math, reading, science times around in the schedule. We will be working to iron out the fine details once everyone has given the new schedule a chance. We also need to iron out the details of the balanced literacy block in January...when is what happening during the 120 minutes.

3. Bilingual and Kinder teachers - you are going to miss one day of intervention. The students who see Mrs. Maqsood and Ms. Loza STILL need to go to them. Those students can go to library during open check out times on Monday or Wednesday mornings.

4. We need to start letting students and parents know NOW about the changes.

5. Personally, I would change my google codes from what you are using now to something new and then monitor the old codes for awhile to get everyone changed over.

All of that being said, please look over the schedule and provide me with any feedback of things you see that won't work... I'm sure I've missed something.

December 18th

Beginning at 8:30 we will be doing our 3rd annual Holiday Singalong. It's going to look a bit different since we can't all gather in the cafeteria but it will still be lots of fun!

We are still awaiting guidelines from the district about holiday parties. As soon as I know something I will let you know. Right now please just tell parents we are waiting on guidance from the district and we'll let them know as soon as we do.
