Shining Brighter, Growing Stronger!
Dear Main Street Families,
Thank you for another wonderful week of teaching and learning at Main Street! We are so proud of the hard work, growth, and dedication our scholars continue to show each day. Your partnership and support at home make a tremendous difference in our school community.
Beginning Tuesday, scholars will also start iReady Diagnostic #3. Scholars will spend approximately 20 minutes each day working on both the Reading and Math diagnostics. We encourage all scholars to take their time, work carefully, and do their very best so we can celebrate the incredible growth they have made this year.
Also next week, scholars will have several exciting celebrations to look forward to, including our Ice Cream Tiger Dollar Party and our 3rd–5th Grade PSSA Celebration Dance Party! Please see the flyer below for additional details about these events.
📊 Attendance Matters – Let’s Finish Strong!
This week, our average daily attendance was 92%, which is strong and shows that many of our scholars are showing up each day ready to learn! However, only 63% of students currently have an overall attendance rate (ADA) above 90%, which is below our goal. Consistent attendance is critical to your child’s academic success—every day of learning truly matters, especially as we approach the end of the school year and prepare for important assessments like the PSSA.
Our goal is to reach 90% Average Daily Attendance (ADA), and we need your partnership to get there. Please make every effort to ensure your child is at school on time, every day, unless they are sick.
Let’s work together to build strong habits and finish the school year strong!
Thank you again for your ongoing support of Main Street Elementary School. Your partnership truly makes a difference in the success of our students each and every day.
Warm regards,
Ms. D. Medley, Principal
Mrs. C. Edmondson, Assistant Principal
