Gold Rush Elementary
Principal's Message - March 14, 2025
“Foster Growth by Challenging Critical Thinkers to Take Risks,
Honor Differences & Care for Others”
POT OF GOALS
We are certainly lucky to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community here at Gold Rush Elementary! Our first graders have been reflecting on their personal and academic growth as they set goals for the remainder of the school year. These goals range from becoming stronger readers to excelling in math, with many students also focusing on personal growth such as staying more organized. We are so proud of their thoughtful reflections and their enthusiasm to grow in all areas of their lives.
In addition to individual growth, we came together as a school community for a fun and engaging Spring Assembly. The Heritage Irish Step Dancers, including our very own fourth grader Natali Schnell, performed for both students and staff. It was an exciting opportunity for everyone to celebrate the joy of movement and culture, and we were all captivated by the energy and talent displayed by the dancers.
SPRING STATE ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE: GRADES 3-5
After Spring Break, students in grades three through five will take the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessment. This important test measures students' knowledge of grade-level literacy and math standards, helping us understand their academic progress.
Please mark the testing dates below on your calendar. We kindly ask that you schedule any appointments outside of the testing window, as it’s crucial for students to be present and focused during the assessment. A solid attendance record ensures the best possible results and helps avoid disruptions to the testing process.
THANK YOU PTO & PARENT VOLUNTEERS
We wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude and share our appreciation for the wonderful parent-teacher conferences we've had the pleasure of hosting these past two weeks. It was such a joy to see so many of you and connect about the amazing growth our students have made so far this year. We are excited to continue partnering together to support your child's success and discuss the goals we’ve set for the remainder of the school year.
A special thank you to our amazing PTO and the parent volunteers who worked tirelessly to provide the delicious meals and treats for our conference days. We also thank our PTO, parent volunteers and librarian, Mrs. Golish, for making our Sping Book Fair possible! Your generosity and thoughtfulness truly made the week even more enjoyable and are deeply appreciated by all of us.
