PRESIDENTS' DAY CHALLENGE

Choose one of the following:

Research a president and then write a 25 word story on that president. Have your parents or teacher tweet it out using the hashtags: #25wordstory, #presidentsday and post it on the padlet.

Write a 6 word memoir on a president. According to NPR, the online magazine Smith asked readers to write the story of their own lives in a single sentence. The challenge was well received and is now used by classrooms throughout the world. Research a president using the resources below, and write a 6 word memoir. Submit it to your teacher who can tweet it out with the hastags: #presidentsday, #6words, and post it on the padlet.

Make an image interactive. Research background information on a president using the resource links. Perform a search using any of the image sites found in the resource section. Then open an account with Thinglink and make your image interactive. Share it on the padlet and have your teacher tweet it out at #presidentsday.

Create a trading card of one of the presidents. Research a president using the resources below and then visit "trading card creator". Share it on the padlet and have your teacher tweet it out at #presidentsday.
