Good Morning,
Students enjoyed a wonderful week participating in WECC's Read Across America Week. It was exciting to see students dressed in their silly hats, socks, and our town colors, maroon and gold. Lot's of fun on Wednesday seeing children dressed as what they want to be when they grow up. We saw lots of police and fire friends, teachers, librarians, train conductor, moms, dads, princesses, restaurant workers, construction workers, doctors, nurses and so many more. Lots of Dr. Seuss stories were read and a wealth of rhyming practice took place! Enjoy the pictures below.
On Tuesday, March 25th the Weymouth Coordinated Family and Engagement Program will host a Potty Training workshop from 10-11 a.m. at the Weymouth Library. If you are interested in attending please use the following link to register for this FREE workshop.

Community Service Project:
Thank you to the families that have donated to the Weymouth Food Pantry. Donations will continue to be accepted from March 1 through March 15. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Here is a wonderful story to watch that can help to explain why we are collecting food, called Maddi's Fridge. This story is read by Jennifer Garner and written by Lois Brandt. The story, very gently, addresses the issue of food insecurity and poverty. Thank you to Mrs. Connolly for sharing this story with us.

I'm a Super Reader
Help us reach our goal of 10,000 books
One of the most important gifts we can give our children is to help them learn to read and write so that they can succeed in school and beyond. Confident, active readers are able to use their reading skills to follow their passions and curiosity about the world. We all read for a purpose: to be entertained, to take a journey of the imagination, to connect with others, to figure out how to do something, and to learn about history, science, the arts, and everything else.
We hope to foster the love of reading in our students. Please help us by helping your child read each day. Attached is a reading chart that your child can color each time they read a book. Bring the reading chart to school once all apples are colored and your child will receive a Super Reader sticker. You may choose to only read 10 books per month or submit as many reading charts as you want. We will be keeping track by classroom. If JECC students reach the goal of 10,000 books, we will have a Bubble party at the end of the year.
Help our students reach their goal!
