Principal's Weekly Update
Week of January 13-17
Administrator's Message 🐾
Dear Wildcat Families,
We've had a good start to the second semester. Students have been taking their MAP English test, and this upcoming week, they will be taking the MAP math test. These assessment results are used to place students in different programs and support classes. Please encourage your child to do their best, and remind them to bring their Chromebook fully charged.
Student grades have been reset for second semester. They all have a fresh start, and we need your support to ensure they are starting the semester strong. Please monitor Aeries often, and remind your child to work in partnership with their teachers to catch up on any missing or late work quickly.
Coming up, we will be sending invitations to families and students who meet the eligibility criteria for honors academic awards based on the first semester grades. We will also be celebrating students who show growth and meet the growth goals on the MAP tests. Please be on the lookout for these notifications, and we look forward to celebrating your child's success!
Celebrating Our Community's Diversity
The cities of Fairfield and Suisun City are two of the most diverse communities in California. To honor that diversity, each week FSUSD will be sharing information about the cultures that make up our extra special learning community.
January 13, 2025 is Korean American Day and celebrates the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the US in 1903. The day was first established in 2005 by President George W. Bush with the goal of honoring people of Korean descent who have made contributions to America.
