These first days of school have been filled with students and families reuniting with friends and staff. Our school community has been warm, welcoming, and so positive!

Family Orientation Presentation & Extended Care

Please see the slideshow below that was shared at Family Orientation on the first day of school. It is filled with information that is especially helpful for families new to the school. For questions and information related to the Extended Care program, contact Site Supervisor Gina Souza at (408) 649-4073. Be sure to read emails sent from Extended Care to remain informed.

Every Steindorf family is a member of the HSC!

Steindorf is a public school. Funding is determined by government entities that focus on safety, academics, payroll, and facilities. The costs of what Steindorf provides students are not covered by the school budget alone.

That translates to $2.50 per school day! Every little bit helps to provide vital programs and events, such as those listed below, to maintain our thriving school community.

ARRIVAL: All Students Enter through Double Gates

8:15 - Students & Families arrive and are allowed on campus

8:30 - Instructional Day begins. Families exit campus.

DISMISSAL: All Students Exit through Double Gates

12:00 - Kindergarten until 9/4

2:35 - 1st-3rd Grades

3:00 - 4th-8th Grades

For Kindergarten Families Picking up from Extended Day between 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM

Please enter through the Front Office. This will be in effect through Labor Day.

• There is only ONE drop off lane. Follow red arrows on campus map below.

• Drop off students in drop off zone at the double gate only, not in front of school office.

• Do not drop off students before 8:15AM as no supervision is provided. Enroll in Extended Care if needed (7am - 6pm).

• Pick students up promptly at dismissal time. Enroll in Extended Care if needed (7am - 6pm).

• Keep moving all the way forward.

• Never leave car unattended.

• Follow signs & directions. Do not remove them.

• Follow directions from Staff Supervisors directing traffic.

• There are no shortcuts to exit the parking lot.

• Right turn exit only from the school parking lot during school hours.

• MODEL KINDNESS! Everyone is in a hurry.

• Nutritious food is provided by school each day.
• Students are still welcome to bring snack and lunch, in addition to school-provided meals.
• Students are not allowed to share food as a precaution to those with allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Food delivery services for students will not be accepted on campus.
• Steindorf is a closed campus. Students are not allowed off campus until dismissal.

• Snacks/lunch are optional as meals are provided by the school.

Hello Steindorf Families,

Welcome back! Steindorf families and staff are all automatically members of our Home and School Club. Through your donations and time, we look forward to continuing to provide engaging programs and events for our students and community this year.

Your donations to the HSC provide the bulk of the non-personnel costs required to fund our school. We ask for a donation of $450 per student to ensure we can continue to send our students on field trips, provide teachers with funds for their classroom, supplies for our Project Based Learning projects, and many more.

I want to thank Kristen Steffeck and all the members of the 2025/2026 HSC Board - we appreciate your dedication and support of our school community. Calling all 4th–8th graders! Our annual theater production will take place earlier than usual this school year. We are excited to present Annie Jr., with rehearsals beginning in early September on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Performances will be held during the first week of November. More details and audition information will be shared early next week and on our theater webpage at steindorfhsc.com.

Spaces are limited, volunteering will be required, and enrollment fees will be mandatory. If you have any questions, please contact steindorf.play@gmail.com.

It's that time of year again for our next round of after-school classes! To streamline our booking, we are excited to announce that we have adopted a new registration system called Homeroom that will allow us to sign up and track all enrichment classes in one place.

Spots are limited, so once registration opens sign up ASAP as classes tend to fill up!
