Dear MCE Families,

Happy May! It’s hard to believe we’re in the final month of the school year. As we wrap things up, we want to thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and involvement—it truly makes a difference in the lives of our students.

We’re looking forward to several exciting events in the coming weeks, including Field Day, which will be held on Thursday, May 15 (please note the date change from the original calendar). It’s always a highlight of the year, and we can’t wait to see our students enjoying a day full of outdoor fun, games, and school spirit!

We’re also thrilled to share the success of our spring Book Fair! With total sales of $13,000, we were able to:

  • Give out $1,600 in books and prizes to students

  • Return over $2,000 directly back to classrooms

  • Provide every student with $5 to shop

  • Host two fun and engaging events: Penny Wars and Bingo for Books

A huge thank you to the parents and staff who made the Book Fair possible:
Jennifer Rulo, Joanie Kemry, Jessi Shipley, Abbi Stevens, Heather Schmidt, Jessica Green, Katie Brinker, Amanda Bethel, Kristal Zerr, Taylor Cowden, Lisa Eveland, and Shelly Saladin.
Your time and support made this event a wonderful experience for our students!

As we near the end of the year, please take a moment to ensure student lunch accounts are up to date. Balances can be checked online or by contacting the school office.

Looking ahead, summer school information for Kindergarten through 5th grade is now available. Please reach out to the MCE office if you need information.
