BHS Updates!
Hello, BHS students, families, and staff.
Friday, 5/19 marked the end of the Q4 Interim Marking Period. Grades will be posted in Infinite Campus on 5/26. That puts us in the final stretch of the 2-22-23 school year!
Our annual Awards Night will take place this Wednesday at 7pm in the BHS Auditorium and our Senior Breakfast and Yearbook distribution will take place the morning of Friday, May 26th. Also on Friday, we will have the Stop-DWI program visit all of our PE classes. You can learn more about this Monroe County program here.

Student Cell Phone/Social Media Seminar
This Thursday, BHS will host Max Stossel who will deliver a seminar on cell phones and social media to our students during advisement.
Mr. Stossel was a media strategist with an extensive background in social, running social media for multinational brands, and later working for a social media company where he designed some of the notification structures to distract people that he now raises awareness about. He has spent the past six years speaking with 100,000+ students, parents, and educators around the world about social media's impact on our lives, and creating resources to help manage that impact. Max’s presentation, titled “We’ve Been Sneaking Into Your Brains” illustrates specific ways technology is designed to be addictive & distracting. He provides tools to help combat these designs, and leads a much-needed discussion among peers about the impact of phones & social media.
This is an issue of paramount importance in student health as well as the operation of our school and classrooms. While this is not the only action we can take, this seminar will be a great asset in forwarding our conversation regarding cell phones with our students staff, and families as we move toward a building-wide policy in the fall of 2023 in everyone’s best interest.
