As we step into another new week, I want to remind you of the importance of building strong habits for our students both in and out of the classroom.

Our middle school students are learning what it means to rise to expectations—showing respect in the classroom and hallways, taking responsibility for their learning, and living with integrity in everything they do. These daily habits are just as important as the lessons they’re learning in class, and together they shape the kind of community we want at MCA.

Thank you for reinforcing these values at home as we continue to partner in helping students grow academically, spiritually, and socially.

Our Grade 5 band and orchestra students are the newest musicians in the building, and they’ve been working hard these past few weeks to learn their instruments and play together as one unit.

This week in chapel, we were blessed to hear from our High School Principal, Dr. Rothstein. Dr. Rothstein spoke on the importance of finding you value in Christ. Using personal examples from her life story, she talked about the "comparison trap" and how having an envious heart can rip the joy from our lives. James 3:16 says,
"For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice." We pray that our community will continue to learn the beauty of celebrating one another. Jesus has created all of us on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose!

During Pastor Appreciation Month we want to recognize and thank the pastors who faithfully serve and lead our church communities. As part of this special effort, students will be using class time to create Pastor Appreciation Cards to express their gratitude and encouragement to their home church's pastor. This can be a Youth Pastor or Senior Pastor of your church location.

Mark your calendars and register early! Our Middle School Movie Night, hosted by PWP, is coming up on Saturday, October 11!

Students in Grade 5–8 are invited to enjoy an evening of food, fun, and a family-friendly movie with friends.
