Superintendent Update
November 15, 2024
Cliff's Notes
Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,
Over the next few months, we will turn our attention in earnest to the FY26 budget process, with additional information provided by community members at Special Town Meeting on November 18th. I am slated to present an initial recommendation to the school committee slated for November 26th, with a final vote scheduled for January 7th. I provided an update to the school committee this week, including additional data regarding enrollment and current fiscal challenges, and a proposed central office realignment. Feedback is welcome throughout the process as we seek to invest well together on behalf of students and families.
Best,
Cliff Chuang 莊 宏 毅
Superintendent, Bedford Public Schools

They also approved a security camera memorandum of understanding with the BEA and consider changes to the Building and Ground Security Policy to increase safety. They rounded out the evening with updates on Wellness & Healthy Hours and the FY26 budget development process, including a proposed central office realignment with a revised Assistant Superintendent job description.
The next meeting will be held on November 26th, with the FY26 budget recommendation taking center stage. The full agenda, schedule, and supporting materials can always be found at School Committee - Meeting Schedule & Supporting Documents.
