It’s another busy week for our Panthers! Tomorrow, October 12, volleyball will play at home against Cordova Middle. On Wednesday, golf will compete in the championship match at Twin Valley, and on Thursday, our cross-country team will compete at Hinson Lake. If your child stays after school to attend an athletic event, please make sure they have transportation home immediately after the event, no later than 5:30 PM. More than two late pickups will result in the loss of after-school event privileges.

We’re excited to kick off our first school-wide fundraiser of the year! Now through November 13, families can purchase popcorn online, and orders will be shipped directly to their homes. Be sure to check out the information on our school platforms and the flyer your child will bring home this week. Our top three student sellers will receive gift cards, and students will have opportunities to earn prizes along the way!

Please remember that student cell phones must remain turned off and out of sight for the entire school day, which means they should stay in students’ lockers until dismissal. Any phone found during the school day, whether on or off, will be confiscated, and a parent/guardian will be contacted.

Here’s a quick reminder of the consequences for violations:

• 1st violation: Parent contact; the phone is held in the office until dismissal and returned to the student at the end of the day.

• 2nd violation: Parent contact; a parent/guardian must pick up the phone after school.

• 3rd violation: ISS and a meeting with administration and the parent/guardian.

• Additional violations: May result in OSS.

We appreciate everyone who has made sure their student has their ID each day! Starting tomorrow, all bus riders will be required to scan on and off the bus. This is another way we’re working to ensure students arrive safely at school and their designated bus stops.

Also, please remember that all bookbags, gym bags, and sports equipment bags brought into the building must be clear or mesh to comply with the district’s bag policy. We appreciate your help in making sure students come prepared!
