I learned two new things this Homecoming weekend. First, I really don't want to be the clock/scoreboard operator unless I absolutely have to. Our veteran clock/scoreboard operator, Mr. Derek Pretre, was out of town Friday night and I was called into action. I was a nervous wreck in the pressbox and felt like I missed out on the homecoming experience. We have so many awesome staff members that are behind the scenes doing these important jobs. It is amazing how many people it takes to make a night like homecoming go off "without a hitch." A big thank you also needs to go to our Student Council and sponsor, Jeff Koch. Mr. Koch and his council made last week special for everyone and for that I am grateful. Homecoming is a stressful week for all but I feel like they made it as smooth as possible. The second thing I learned was that we have an alumni base that is so proud of the great things you, the students and staff, are doing. I got to give tours Saturday for the second year in a row and our alumni are not just impressesd by our facilities, but also the great things you all are doing in and out of the classroom. Keep it up!
