Weekly K12 Zone Guide
May 28th

🔒 Action Needed: Consent Required for National Zone Access Starting June 2
The National K12 Zones open for most schools this coming Monday, June 2 — and students 12 and under won’t be able to join without verified parental consent.
If your student is under 13 and you'd like them to access the National Zones this summer, you’ll need to complete the current consent process. We know it’s not the simplest system — and a better one is coming next year — but for now, this step is still required.
🕒 Consent can be completed at any time, but students won’t be able to access the Zone until it’s on file.

🌍 School Zones vs. National Zones — What’s the Difference?
Every K12-powered school is different when it comes to Zone access:
-
🏫 Some schools have School Zones (no parent consent needed)
-
🌎 Some have opted into the National K12 Zones (consent needed if your student is 12 or under)
-
🔄 Some offer both, and a few may offer neither
Your student’s access depends on what their school has chosen to provide.
✅ Check with your school directly to find out which Zones are available!
