NYC Family Survey, BHM, Jobs and more
NYC Schools Student & Family Survey!
Dear families,
It's almost that time of year again! Every year, we ask all families, teachers and staff of grades 3-K through 12, and students in grades 6-12 to take the NYC School Survey. The survey is designed to collect important information about each school's ability to support student success. School leaders can use feedback from the survey to reflect and improve schools and programs. You can learn more about the NYC School Survey by contacting your school or program.
The survey will open next Monday, February 10th. Surveys can be completed online or my mail in paper survey. Paper survey's will be sent home with students starting February 11th.
To be entered in the raffle have your child return the paper survey to Mx. Craig in room 1E4 or E-mail a screen shot of your completed online survey to pcraig@hsslnyc.org.

Service in Schools Leadership Institute (10-12 Graders)
Do you know a student who would like to help their community and impact issues that matter to them? Service in Schools invites you to refer students in grades 10-12 to apply to participate in the 2025 Leadership Institute! This is an exciting opportunity for students to connect with their peers from across the city, learn from experts from community-based organizations, and teach elementary students how to help their community! Learn more in the program FAQ and share the application with your students! Students in grades 10-12 who are interested in becoming leaders while also serving the community should be encouraged to apply. The program consists of a five-day in-person Institute in midtown Manhattan during spring break, from Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18, 2025 from 9:00am-3:00pm each day, and an in-person after-school session on May 23. Throughout the program, students will work in small groups to learn about local issues, culminating in the planning and implementation of a day-long Youth Service Summit for elementary school students in May 2025. Interested students should complete the application by 11:59pm on Friday, February 21.
