Sinaloa Sabers Weekly Update 10/30
Pumpkin Contest/Halloween Spirit Day & Johnny's Ambassadors
Good Evening All Sinaloa Families,
We will have a very busy week this week. Our PTSA is sponsoring a pumpkin carving contest on Monday Oct. 30th and our Leadership class will have a costume contest on Tuesday, Oct. 31st. We want all of our students to enjoy the Halloween holiday, but we need to follow the guidelines. On Weds. 11/1 ALL students will NOT HAVE SCHOOL due to a SVUSD Staff Development Day. Finally on Nov. 2nd we will have a very special assembly for our 7th and 8th grade students presented by Johnny's Ambassadors at the end of the day. This assembly can be emotionally charged for your children due to the nature of the topic (drug awareness and teenage suicide.) If you have concerns please contact the office at 805 520 - 6830
JOHNNY'S AMBASSADORS - We have an amazing opportunity to welcome a world renown speaker and author Laura Stack to Sinaloa MS gym on Nov. 2nd to talk to our students during the day and to ALL SVUSD Parents at 6PM. Mrs. Stack will be speaking about the tragic loss of her son due to his addiction to high THC Concentrates.
ELIGIBILITY: All students need to remain eligible to participate in our Intramural sports. To be eligible students must be passing 4 out 6 classes, have less than 20 period tardies and may not have an Administrative U. Students that are not eligible will not be allowed to attend the Wrestling Match after school
Sinaloa Takes Action - FINAL CALL FOR SOCKS! This month we will be collecting socks for the needy to participate in SOCKTOBER. Please bring in new tube socks to the main office and Sinaloa will donate these to the Samaritan Center.
