Welcome Back!
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are excited to welcome our students back and look forward to an incredible year filled with learning, growth, and community. Our doors officially open at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, September 2nd. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM, and we are pleased to share that both breakfast and lunch will once again be provided at no cost to all students this year. If your child will not be eating breakfast at school, please plan for them to arrive around 7:30 AM. 6th graders should enter through the main enterence while 7th and 8th graders will come through the entrance near the bus drop off on High Street. Our staff will be outside of the building to guide students to where they need to go.
As we navigate our first week back, please note a few important scheduling reminders. Dismissal on Thursday, September 3rd, will be at 1:17 PM. Additionally, there will be no school on Friday, September 4th, or Monday, September 7th, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Most often I will be emailing the newsletter on Friday afternoons. This is where you will find information regarding intramurals, clubs, and upcomming events as well as the Tigers of the month and what is going on in classrooms.
Beginning Of The Year Paperwork
As a parent I clearly remember that the first day of school takes a great deal of energy in terms of getting up on time, getting breakfast, a quick photo and then off to school. It was always a lot coming home too, especially if there is a sports practice thrown in there. After a long day the last thing my wife or I wanted to do was fill out all of that paperwork that was sent home. In an effort to reduce it, last year we moved to sending some of it electronically ahead of time. Please click this link to sign off on a few of these forms ahead of time rather than on the first day of school.
School Supplies
Welcome to the new school year! Below you'll find the supply list for each grade level.
Grade 6 Supply List
We also have a selection of free donated items, including new back packs and binders available in the main office lobby—parents and students are welcome to drop by and take what they need! Many of the items were donated by the Wallis Family (Mrs. Wallis works in our 8th grade), as well as binders given by the It's My Heart New England foundation.
Picture Day - September 18th
Every student will have their photo taken as it will be used for the yearbook. If you are interested in purchasing photos, use the QR code or log on to the website to order your pictures by September 18th.
There Is Still Time To Finish Summer Reading
If the summer has gotten away from you and your student has not yet finished, or started, their summer reading, they can still get it done. We ask each student to read at least one of the six books that were chosen this year and we will have book group discussions and activities about the book towards the end of September. The books are available at the Public Library, Tidal Pages Book Shop, Amazon, and a small number of them are available at school to check out for a two week time period from the main office. The book choices are listed below. Click here for book descriptions
