Dear Windsong Ranch Elementary Families,

Can you believe October starts next week!?!? Conference Day is coming up on Friday, October 10th. If your child’s teacher hasn’t yet reached out to schedule a time with you, they will be in touch this coming week.

Each Thursday in October, we will wear pink to honor and support those who have fought and are fighting breast cancer. Gather all your pink gear because Prosper Goes Pink district wide on Thursday, 10/23.

The official kickoff for our Boosterthon is October 3rd but you can get a head start by registering your student today at MyBooster.com. Then, cheer them on during the Windsong Stampede Fun Run on October 15th during specials.

We also want to remind parents to please stay in your car during arrival and dismissal and pull all the way up when dropping off or picking up. This helps keep the line moving and relieves traffic on 1st Street as much as possible.

Have a great weekend and we'll see you back at the Ranch on Monday morning.

Together we Prosper,

Michelle Qualls

Parent Learning opportunity

Rogers and Walnut Grove High School counselors are co-hosting a parent event that is open to all parents in our district. Flyer attached with more details. The event will focus on the dangers of social media for children of all ages, including information about platforms like Roblox, which may be particularly relevant to elementary-aged children.

Guidance Lessons

Mrs. Stenson will be visiting all 4th and 5th grade classrooms during the week of September 29th. Our topic will be on healthy friendships and bullying prevention. The WRE Counseling Information padlet has many great resources to help you talk with your student about these topics at home.

Together We Empower

Together we empower all Windsong Ranch Elementary staff to be leaders, by providing growth opportunities and professional development to help every staff member reach their full potential.

Our 3rd grade staff, along with support staff, recently analyzed their recent summative math data to see what types of errors were showing up, procedural or conceptual. This careful review helps teachers identify who’s ready to dive deeper into the unit and guides upcoming small group instruction. Using data to drive instruction ensures every student gets the support and challenge they need!

Together We Cultivate

Together we cultivate meaningful connections across our growing school community.

Today, our CPR-certified staff put our Cardiac Emergency Response Plan (CERP) into action during a drill. This plan ensures that in the event of a cardiac emergency, our team knows exactly how to respond—using CPR, the AED, and oxygen equipment to keep everyone safe. We’re proud of our staff for practicing these lifesaving skills and keeping our campus prepared!

Together We Champion

Together we champion every student’s path to excellence through consistent use of the Workshop Model to strengthen Tier 1 instruction, drive growth, and build future-ready learners.

Our students got creative combining small units to make a bigger unit, specifically their own boats! Then came the big test, would they float? Hands-on learning, problem-solving, and a splash of fun made this 2nd grade science performance task a huge success.
