PTA Weekly Update

Good morning Husky families!

We completed the Kid's Heart Challenge! Thank you SO much to all of the parent volunteers who gave their time on Friday. You made the day run smoothly, and the kids had a blast! We're still tallying some numbers, but so far:

• 304 Spring Brook students registered for the KHC.
• We EXCEEDED our $26,000 fundraising goal, raising $30,323!
• 114 students completed Finn's Mission exceeding our goal of 110 students!
• Check out the Chicago Tribune's feature on Mr. Vine and his work running the KHC at Spring Brook.
  
  

Don't forget: Get your tickets to the Adult Social on February 21! We're taking it back to the 90s! Gather with other Spring Brook parents for live music, an exciting silent auction, a wine pull, and more. See below for more details.

• We are in need of wine donations for the wine pull and would love your help! If you have a bottle (or two) you’d like to donate, please drop it off at Marissa Kopp’s porch (2646 Copperfield Ct.). A cooler will be out for easy drop-off. Thanks!

Book a sitter and get your tickets for the Spring Brook Adult Social!

The Adult Social is an adults-only night of fun, offering the opportunity to support the efforts of the PTA while meeting other parents and enjoying each other's company. The evening will feature live music, hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, wine pull, and a fantastic silent auction. This year's theme is Back to the 90s. See the FAQs for more info.

Our bidding site is now live to preview the silent auction. The auction will open at noon on 2/21/26 and will be available to attendees and non-attendees for bidding.

• Prizes include tickets to Drury Lane, the Field Museum, and Ravinia, gift cards for local restaurants, spa treatments and facials from Face Foundrie, The Now Massage, and Lulu Head Spa, a Breckenridge Pool membership, VIP parking at Spring Brook, and more. You don't want to miss out!

As the PTA looks for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students, we are expanding our sponsorship program for events during the 2025-2026 school year.

If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.

Dough Raising events are an opportunity to join with others in our Spring Brook Community for fun, food and a little fundraising. A portion of sales during these events are donated by our community partners to support the efforts of the Spring Brook Elementary PTA.

The next Dough Raising event will be held at Girodano's on Tuesday, February 24. Show this flyer or write "Spring Brook" in the comments of your online order. 25 percent of proceeds will go back to the school!

Mark your calendars for Spring Brook's annual STEM Night & Science Fair. All Spring Brook students and their families are welcome to attend.

Flyers went home on with students last week with information on the event and how to register. You can also visit the Science Fair/STEM Night page on our website to view all of this year's information.
