Have a fantastic weekend! As a reminder, Monday February 16th is a Staff Professional Development Day which means STUDENT HOLIDAY! We look forward to seeing all of our Colts back on Tuesday!

Repeated Information:

As we move into the Spring Semester please partner with our staff to ensure your child finishes the year strong by:

Being in dresscode (including their Student ID)
Bringing a charged laptop daily
Avoiding horseplay & physical contact with peers
Being an active participant in class
Not being disruptive in class

COLT PRIDE AWARDS!

Every week our staff members have the opportunity to nominate one CMS Student to receive a Colt Pride Award. These students have demonstrated at least one of our Colt Pride Values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, Excellence! Way to go COLTS!

A Note from the Nurse

6th GRADE PARENTS: Texas law requires that any student attending public school must meet minimum immunization requirements to continue enrollment. Although the federal immunization recommendations have changed, Texas has not adopted the new vaccine schedule. All 7th graders are required to have Meningococcal (MCV) and TDaP vaccines before beginning school in the fall. These will be the last vaccines your student will be required to have for public education. If your student has had the MCV and TDaP, routinely given at the 11 year check up, please email me a copy so that I can update our records. If you choose to not vaccinate, the state does have a waiver that you can complete and submit. Waivers are good for 2 years and will have to be renewed in high school. Welcome to Colleyville Middle School PTA! Our goal is to connect with our school community by hosting fun events such as Back to School Social, Spirit Nights and so much more. We partner 100% with our wonderful school to make it the very best! Your PTA memberships and donations fund various school improvement projects, school programs, and continuing education for our teachers.We can’t wait to partner with you!

LAST CHANCE! Plans are underway for an outstanding 2026-2027 school year! The CMS PTA extends to you the opportunity to share your time and talents for the benefit of our children. We welcome fresh perspectives, imaginative ideas and your willingness to become involved. Your interest does not constitute a commitment. We welcome your questions so that you may find a volunteer slot that best suits your interests. Officer Positions will be elected during the March General Meeting. Those interested in chair positions will be contacted by the incoming officers after the March election. Please submit your interest form no later than Sunday, February 15th.

8th Grade Celebration

Save the Date for our western themed 8th Grade Celebration - Final Rodeo, Forever Colts! Friday, May 15th at Compass Center 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Be sure you are on our 8th Grade Facebook page to keep up with the latest. We can’t wait to celebrate our Class of 2030 8th Graders! 8th Grade Celebration Planning Meeting

Our 8th Grade Celebration Volunteer Meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 17th at 12:00 at Gloria’s on the patio. We hope you can join us, but don’t worry if you can’t make it. Text me or Challee if you want to help in any way and we will get you more information. We will have a sign up genius to sign up for all the day of slots as the event gets closer!
