Help Us Celebrate Our Amazing Staff – Sign Up to Donate!
Dear DMS Families,
Staff Appreciation Week is coming up soon, May 12th - 16th, and we’re excited to show our incredible teachers and staff just how much they mean to us. To make this week extra special, we’re asking for your help!
We’ve put together a Sign Up Genius with opportunities to donate food, drinks, supplies, and small treats that will help us celebrate our staff in style. Whether it’s a breakfast item, a snack for the break room, or a gift card raffle prize, every contribution makes a difference.
Please take a moment to look over the list and sign up for anything you’re able to provide. Donations can be dropped off at the front office by Wednesday, May 6th, or sent directly to the school using the Amazon Wish List Link in the Sign Up.

Important Message for ALL Incoming Freshman Athletes
DMS 8th Grade Athletes & Families,
We were excited to see so many students showing interest in playing sports next school year! Please review the following important information regarding sports physicals and clearance:
Sports Physical Day: We will be hosting an upcoming Sports Physical Day. This is a convenient opportunity for students to complete their required physicals as part of the clearance process.
Clearance Requirement: All student-athletes must be cleared to participate. This can be done through our on-site physical day or by visiting your own doctor.
Fall Sports: Clearance opens May 1 for the 2025–26 school year. Many fall sports begin training during the summer or right as school starts, so it's important to complete clearance early.
Winter & Spring Sports: Some of these sports also offer camps or practices in the fall, which require the same clearance process.
We encourage all interested students to get their sports physicals completed as soon as possible to ensure they’re ready for any practices, camps, or tryouts.

Semester 2 Period Tardy Notifications
As of 1/14/25, DMS restarted a school-wide initiative to support student attendance and on-time arrival to class.
Parents/guardians receive email notifications for every period tardy earned by their student. The email includes the parent, teacher, student, and administration. Please reach out to teachers and administration if you have any question regarding a marked tardy. Students also receive a paper notification/warning in class.
