As we wrap up the first week of the new school year, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your support, patience, and partnership.

Starting a new school year is always a time of excitement, adjustment, and growth—for students, families, and staff alike. Your student(s) have come through our doors with bright energy and open hearts, and that is a direct reflection of the love, encouragement, and preparation they receive at home.

Thank you for trusting us with your student’s education and well-being. Your cooperation during this first week—from drop-offs and pick-ups to completing forms and helping your student adjust to routines—has made a tremendous difference in creating a smooth and successful start.

I wanted to take a beat and tell you a little about my role at Union Township! Many of you know that there IS a counselor—but many families don’t know all the ways I support your kiddos and behind the scene work! This 25/26 school year will be my 8th year as the middle school counselor! I'm excited for the opportunity to work with the students and families at UTMS! As we begin this exciting new school year, I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible staff we have here at Union Township Middle School!

Our teachers, support team, and office team have been working with dedication and enthusiasm to prepare for your student’s arrival. Each staff member brings a deep commitment to student growth, a passion for learning, and a strong belief in the power of education to change lives.

From the classroom to the front office, from the cafeteria to the custodians and bus drivers, our staff is united in one goal: to provide a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment where every student can succeed.

We also know that strong relationships between school and home are key. Please know that our staff is here not just to teach, but to listen, support, and partner with you throughout the year.
